Asbestos Surveys & Asbestos Abatement
American Environmental Specialists, Inc., (AES) has become a leader in the development and implementation of asbestos management and abatement programs for complex commercial, industrial, municipal, educational, healthcare and high-density residential facilities.
Building Inspections and Hazard Assessments
Site inspections are performed to satisfy the regulatory requirements of asbestos surveys prior to site demolitions, alterations or renovations. Our general approach to any asbestos survey project is to review any available previous surveys and analytical data for the project location; identify those locations containing known or presumed asbestos containing materials (ACM); and develop our survey and bulk sampling strategy based upon this review and the requirements of our client.
AES prepares abatement design specifications and protocols for the safe abatement and proper disposal of asbestos-containing materials. Pre-project planning is a necessity for the successful development of cost-effective, regulatory compliant specifications. AES’s specifications incorporate the requirements of the local, state or federal regulatory agencies with oversight of the project. The specifications may include the proper remediation and disposal of hazardous materials other than asbestos: such as: PCB light ballasts, Mercury containing fluorescent lights and switches, freon containing refrigeration systems, lead paint, etc.

AES prepares Operation & Maintenance (O & M) Plans based on complete survey information and includes procedures for worker protection, training, and documentation.
