MEET THE AES TEAM

James F. McClung, Jr., CAC CDPH PresidentBA, Social Science

With over forty-five years of field and management experience and thirty-five years in the environmental field, Mr. McClung has organized and administered the planning, design, and remediation of more than $300 million in remediation of hazardous materials projects. He is an accomplished public speaker, expert witness on environmental issues, and has participated in the formulation of several regulations and guidelines for the industry. Mr. McClung brings his strong project management skills and extensive knowledge of hazardous materials to each project. Working with clients, tenants, and various construction trades, he is able to maintain strict budgets and project schedules. With his experience and knowledge of microbial contamination, he is frequently called upon to assist insurance adjusters with projects involving mold contamination. Environmental projects have included office buildings, manufacturing and industrial facilities, hospitals, medical offices, museums, malls, single and multi-family dwellings, and high-rise condominiums.

 

Douglas B. Kochanowski, CAC Senior Project ManagerB.S. Biology

Mr. Kochanowski has over 25 years of professional environmental engineering experience, including technical studies, management and administrative duties throughout the United States and Europe. He utilizes his expansive experience specializing in Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) for a wide variety of property uses including industrial sites, agricultural sites, housing tracts, and commercial properties. His background and knowledge helps reduce a client’s Phase II costs while maximizing the possibility of finding subsurface contamination. He also performs stormwater sampling; indoor air quality studies, mold investigations, asbestos surveys and develops Process Safety Management (PSM) plans and Risk Management Plans (RMP).

 

Brian Stratouly, P.E., CSP, CIH, CAC Certified Industrial HygienistB.S., M.S. Mechanical Engineering

A Certified Industrial Hygienist with over thirty years of experience in workplace safety assurance, Health & Safety work plans, confined space entry permitting, noise studies, indoor air quality investigations, and hazardous materials training. Mr. Stratouly is a knowledgeable resource, who approaches his projects in a professional and practical manner. He has the ability to fully understand client needs and can explain technical issues in layman’s terms.

 

Other Technical Staff 

AES’s technical staff consists of individuals with specialized expertise in the consulting fields for asbestos materials, lead based paint, microbial contamination, silica, various indoor / outdoor pollutants, Phase I site assessments, and Phase II testing.  Each have specialty licensing where required and five to thirty years of experience with a wide range of different types of clients.
